How to delete a family

If you no longer need a family profile in Nanny Admin, you can delete it permanently. Only family owners have the ability to delete a family. Follow this guide to remove a family from your account.

1: Open the Families section

  • Tap Families from the bottom navigation menu.
  • If you are part of multiple families, select the one you want to delete.

2: Delete the family

  • Tap the three dots in the top right corner. Note: You will only see this option if you are a family owner
  • Select Delete family from the menu.
  • Tap Delete to permanently remove the family.

Important notes

  • Once deleted, all associated data will be removed and cannot be recovered.
  • If other members are still in the family, they will lose access to the shared records.
  • Only family owners can delete a family. Family owners include the person who originally created the family, as well as any parent members.  
  • If you’re not a family owner but need to update family information, please contact a family owner for assistance. To check who the owners are, head to the Families section, tap Members, and look for the Family owner label next to their name. 

Pro tips

  • Before deleting, make sure you check with other family members, and back up important records through the export record feature
