How to add records

You can add four types of records in Nanny Admin: Time, Leave, Expenses, and Trips. Each record helps track key details about day-to-day work and ensures everything is correctly recorded.

1: Choose the record type

  • Tap Add from the bottom navigation.
  • Select one of the following record types:
    • Add Time – Track working hours e.g. shifts or overtime.
    • Add Leave – Track holidays and other time off.
    • Add Expenses – Track childcare-related expenses.
    • Add Trips – Track trips and mileage owed.

2: Complete the required fields

  • Each form has slightly different fields to fill in.
  • Fields marked with an asterix (*) are required to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • For nannies: You must tag a family to every record.
  • For parents: You must tag a nanny to every record.

3. Submit the form

  • Once submitted, you’ll be redirected to the Records page, where entries matching the selected date range will be displayed.

Important notes

  • You’ll need to create a Family with a Nanny before logging entries — this ensures all records are correctly assigned, tracked and calculated.
  • Review records regularly to ensure all details are correct.
